Biography
About Prof. Eleni Nastas
She has extensive clinical experience in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. Particularly noteworthy is Prof. Eleni’s contribution to founding the Hemoglobinopathy Center, which was established in 1997. Since then, together with a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, laboratory physicians and specialists from many fields of medicine, she has worked continuously to improve the quality of follow-up and treatment for children and adults diagnosed with beta thalassemia and sickle cell disease.
Prof. Eleni Nastas has made a valuable contribution to training young doctors and has taken an active part in important conferences and congresses in Albania and abroad, mainly in the field of congenital anemias.
Her long experience in this field makes Prof. Eleni a distinguished physician not only at the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center (QSUNT), but also at national level.
