What is coronary angiography?

Coronary angiography is an examination that shows the arteries that supply the heart with blood (the coronary arteries). It is performed in a hospital, in a specialized room, and helps find narrowings or blockages.

When might coronary angiography be needed?

When you have chest pain related to exertion, when a stress test shows changes, or after a heart attack. The decision is made by the cardiologist after a full assessment.
